    The Substance

    ★★★★★

The Substance is one of the grossest, craziest and unpredictable movies that I've ever seen. So of course it's become a new favorite of mine.

This film right from the get-go does such a fantastic job at making you feel disgusted and uncomfortable. The cinematography is filmed in such a way that it feels like a nightmare and the editing just makes you feel like you're going crazy. It does such a great job at portraying it's themes of addiction,…

Dear James Gunn I love you, but fuck you.

Anyways Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 more than lived up to the hype for me. It's everything I ever wanted from this series and it was the perfect conclusion to James Gunn's story.

The GOTG films like I said in previous reviews have always been important to me. They're my therapy films where I'll have the shittiest day and watching any of them will bring my spirits up.…

    ★★★★½

Besides some extremely weird tonal shifts Pedicab Driver is yet another incredible outing by Sammo Hung.

Has a solid story, it's hilarious, cute and wholesome and of course has some spectacular fight scenes.

The choreography and stunt work had me jump out of my seat multiple times. Like no joke I had to pause the movie just to use my inhaler cause it was I felt whiplash from it 😭

  • Mo' Money

    Mo' Money

    ★★★½

Mo' Money genuinely surprised me. It's a very funny film that has strong social commentary about bigotry and classism. It's really well shot, lit and edited as well as having a great climatic action set piece.

Damon Wayans is a great lead as he's really funny, charming and is great during the more serious moments. I also love how he's able to utilize a couple of his In Living Color characters in this. Marlon in his film debut is also strong here.

It's nothing groundbreaking, but it's one of the better Wayans Brothers outings.
