This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Some thoughts:
1-F*** Roman Polanski forever
2- "Of course he did nothing, he's the LAW." Such a banger line
3. The play apparently has an ambiguous ending. The movie does not. and I say GOOD.
4. They should've pushed his ass over that cliff.
5. So after the events of this movie do all 3 of them just spend years silently giving each other stink eye while all living in the same town?
Very solid thriller. Sigourney is incredible.
More like 3.75 but I'll round up just for the charming weirdness of it all. Speaking of weird, for me it felt like it as a bit too long but at the same time needed a few things that felt had to be cut from it. I don't know that I can really explain what I mean there. Not as funny as we thought it would be from the trailer, but we had fun watching it all the same. Unfortunately…
A solid folk horror creature feature that is bloodier than your typical folk horror movie. Still moves at the pace of your usual folk horror movie, but if you're concerned about that, don't worry because the run time is 80-something minutes. My estimation of this movie went up when during the post-screening Q & A the director said that they shot it in 12 days. Also, this movie not set during the time you think it is. Keep a weather eye out for the clues.
Saw the premiere at Fantastic Fest. Probably my favorite of the series. Some wild shit in this one.
