Gonna start by saying it’s crazy seeing Flying Lotus direct a fucking movie. As a fan of his music, this made me really happy.

Saw this opening night and it’s weird how for half of it i would go “hey yeah this is the same guy who made 500 days and TASM” but there were many of times where I thought “damn is this really the guy who made 500 days and TASM?”
Rachel is easily the best part of the film. The money is also clearly on screen. Production design and costumes are great. Love the contrasting color palettes used.
