Frybread Face and Me 2023
The pace was like how it feels to be a child. I kept thinking something would happen and then I realised I was with them, and that was enough. Also allot was happening so really it was about listening to what’s around you, your grandmas wisdom, growing into yourself and your family around you. Something that happens gradually and unconsciously, that by the end I felt completely with Benny and encapsulated in their transformation. I think the pace reflects this also and I appreciate that. It’s very patient.

I love the fuckboi alien who is always breaking up with their multiple lovers.
The revolving cake stand scene is one of the best comedy scenes every written. And the sexual references to cheesecake are inspired.
Also loved the offbeat relationship between the two cops in the car, which was totally unexplained, and most of it sounded improvised, was a weird and funny additional dimension.
Would watch again. Love a dykey alien drama.
