Joker was a fantastic experience. It was tense and a masterpiece of film making. The score is what sells it. The ominous cello throughout set a time of dread and uncertainty of what would happen next. The shots looked grimy, and reflected the darkness of the movie. When I close my eyes, I see yellows, browns and greens. A big round of applause should be lent to Joaquin Phoenix, who plays an unhinged and unpredictable depiction of the clown prince.…

It was fine. Overall I will probably forget it with time. The subpar cgi was the most distracting thing throughout the movie. It also felt meandering near the middle. However it was very creative and imaginitive. The cinematography was also very nice in some places, and the backgrounds were gorgeous looking. Tommy Lee Jones also managed to pull off a genuinely unnerving performance and had a real presence on screen. The soundtrack wasn't anything special. Standard sci fi booping synth sounds. Overall, if you like grounded space movies, you will probably enjoy your time.
