  While by today's standards this infamous slasher is relegated to a "so-bad-it's-good" quality, we have to remember that for its time Friday the 13th was revolutionary- wait, this film was made at the same time as Alien??

  The storyline is great but I find the concept of a far-right demagogue attempting a coup, failing, getting a slap on the wrist by the law, and then making a political comeback and consolidating unilateral power as a dictator before making aggressive expansionist threats to be quite far fetched.
