  its satirical clarity of purpose might’ve been lost around the second act but i thought this was a pretty good commentary on the evil yankees, albeit a slightly unfunnier version of its prequel. the synagogue scene was 10/10 tho 💯💯💯

  definitely not nolan’s strongest work by any means. it was often filled with jarring differences in performances by the cast and if i were to be vitriolic, the story detoured from its essence into a fuckfest of lazily tying up loose ends. but it is what it is.

  it’s been almost 4 years since i last saw this and it’s only now that i realise how deeply layered this film is. so many nuances that wee 15yo dylan couldn’t pick up and yet he gave it a 5/5 smh. good thing i’m a pretentious cinephile now 👍👍
