  Everything in this movie makes sense after seeing the hairlines these dudes gotta live with

  First Kurosawa film and don't believe it lives up to all the hype it gets. This movie probably went crazy for 1985/Japan production, but it wasn't mind blowing. 

  Positives: Good mirroring of Shakespeares King Lear, some very cool visuals, interesting use of Hidetora to emphasize tragedy, pretty cool use and subtle mentions of Buddhism themes and overall a good story
