  The screenplay is impenetrable in a way that my subconscious tells me must be brilliant. Tarkovsky's intuitive slow cinema adds greatly to the presentation, though I am torn as to if I think this particular cinematic experience was the best possible vehicle for the screenplay.   Fact Check: when you get bitten by a snake, you do NOT suck the poison out. It is VENOM, not POISON, and you should NOT suck it out.
