  Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones 2002

  ★★½ Rewatched 28 Feb 2025

  Not much better than the first but I have to admit my nostalgia completely clouds my judgment on this one cause that battle of geonosis literally makes me physically revert to being 6 years old and I don’t care man it’s so cool I love the clone troopers so much, the last third of the movie is EASILY the best part. Oh yeah and Anakin&Padme’s love soundtrack, absolutely beautiful and still gives me goosebumps. This might have the worst dialogue of all the Star Wars movies tho ngl

  Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace 1999

  Beginning a Star Wars binge.

  I love Star Wars and I always will. If I’m being honest though, this may be the worst one. It’s incredibly silly and probably the most childish. But saying that about a Star Wars movie itself feels like a childish complaint cause cmon I know what I’m getting myself into here

  I really have to wonder what people thought in 1999. I imagine people loved this and were overwhelmingly accepting of George’s creative life’s work…

  A beautiful film about grief. While this was a fantastic story about such a heavy subject, there were several very very funny moments. The cast was great but Paul Raci is the standout. Dude cracked me up.

  Got to meet the director after the showing and he couldn’t have been cooler. Hearing him talk about his film was inspiring and absolutely added to the experience

  The kind of movie that makes you think about what it means to be a human. A profound achievement in storytelling that leaves you speechless. So fucking glad I finally watched this. I love how deeply engrained the existentialist mindset is throughout it. Can’t wait to watch it again
