Next Goal Wins 2023
“Next Goals Wins” is, in many ways, a return to form for Taika Waititi. He does some of his best work when he’s telling small, offbeat stories about quirky, memorable characters in films that are as heartwarming as they are slightly rough around the edges. This film, admittedly, is probably the most rough around the edges, but it works despite (or because of?) it.
