Fengming: A Chinese Memoir 2007
The pared down editing and limited camera movement allows the full weight of the story to prevail. Credit needs to also be given to Fengming, who is an excellent storyteller. The moments when her voice is inflected by strong emotion and memories are heartbreaking.

Nope 2022
Okay, so I only watched trailer but I think the subversive anti-capitalist undertones were really hitting (shout out Mark Fisher). The horse motif was a nice homage to sorry to bother you (which I also have only watched the trailer for). Overall liked it a lot, but I think Get Out still takes the cake as Peele’s Magnum Opus.
