I went into Alien: Romulus knowing very little and only seeing the trailer some time before it’s release and I have to say; I was pleasantly surprised.
I have always had a love for practical effects and I’m so glad that Fede Álvarez chose to go that route for this film. You don’t see a lot of practical effects in modern sci-fi films with CGI becoming more advanced and accessible. I also love that they brought the team that worked…

I have never understood the beatings this movie took from critics and general viewers. This film is not perfect, but I’ve always quite enjoyed it. From the score, to the casting; this film has a lot going for it. The story is great and moves along at a good pace. The effects do seem dated, but besides that, I can’t find anything else worth picking at. This will always be a film I will return to and recommend
