Batman Begins 2005
Batman’s origin story is fascinating from a character development perspective and world building standpoint. It was really fun to watch Bruce Wayne grow into his Batman alter ego, stepping out into the streets with his work-in-progress equipment and new purpose. I was able to really invest in who he was becoming and the characters instrumental to supporting him. Batman Begins is fast paced and gripping, but I feel like the villains he meets are lacking in real depth of character and punch to be memorable. I also love this movie for sentimental reasons.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Global Fan Screening 2022
Interesting concept but the series is too long, too much of an investment for what it’s worth. Galadriel’s character development as a hotheaded warrior doesn’t fit who she fundamentally is in the Lord of the Rings. Elrond’s growing relationship with Durin and the other dwarves, the origins of Gandalf and his deep connection with the Hobbits, and Sauron’s rise are the most interesting parts. I do not need to watch any more than the first season.
