Shiva Baby 2020
Forgot to log this from a while ago. Pretty good, it had the distinct feel of a debut movie. Whoever said it felt like one long anxiety attack was right lol.

So good!!! Everyone should watch this, I love the sci-fi setting and the cinematography is so beautiful. So many impactful scenes, it’s really very beautiful. I loved Vincent and Eugene (Jerome)’s friendship in this, and Uma Thurman had an amazing performance as well.

I Saw the TV Glow 2024
When I think about movies as an art form, I think this is one of the most clear examples of all of the artistic elements in one movie. The style and cinematography is so well executed, atmospheric, and beautiful — and I really loved the soundtrack.
The story is beautiful and I loved the ambiguous ending. I am normally never a horror person and I find myself scared very easily HOWEVER this was much more a conceptual horror and more sad than anything—although sad seems very reductive for what is so emotionally complex.
Highly relatable as a queer person living in Florida, almost heartbreakingly so. Beautiful!!
