Trap 2024
Trap is an odd film. It’s got a contrived script and it’s hard to tell what tone it is going for at times. However, M. Nights has a distinct style and does really well with tight environments. Josh Hartnett gives a stunning performance and the second half had some emotionally affecting moments. Unfortunately, it doesn’t quite make up for the stilted dialogue and contrived story. A fun watch but not something I can praise too highly.
Kid Cudi as a gay Diva is not something I thought I needed but I’m glad I got it.

I really enjoyed this one. It’s sappy and over-sentimental, which is exactly what you’d expect and want from a Doctor Who Christmas special. It’s fast paced and fun with likable characters.
