  Overall I think this movie was bad in an overworked 2010s twee pseudo self aware kind of way, and I wanted to rate more generously for the queer representation but actually a predictable stereotypical portrayal of bisexuality plus a cliche coming out plot couldn’t sway me I fear

  I am surprised the ultimate sad girl movie is from the pov of boys? I walked out of the theater confused about what I was supposed to take away from this but after reading tons of reviews and analysis it seems it was more straightforward than I thought- men objectify women (or rather boys objectify girls, in this case) and don’t see them as full people, and like yeah so true but I guess I just don’t care that much…
