  I have friends who won't watch The Avengers movies, or Star Wars, or anything too terribly mainstream, because they prefer obscure art films that are provocative and limiting in their reach. I'm not that kind of person. I believe that if you make a film that isn't accessible to its audience, you haven't made a good film. That's the problem I have with Terrence Malick films post-Thin Red Line; that's the problem I have with I'm Thinking of Ending Things. Jesse Plemons does his best. Toni Collette does her best. David Thewlis does his best. But I'm not into it.

  That being said, it was certainly....interesting....
