No Country for Old Men 2007
I’m blown away by this film. The trifecta of Moss, who seems to represents the vanity of adulthood, Bell, who is stuck in his loneliness and aging, and Chigurh, who to me seems like the kind of evil that can only come from being an island, works so well. I was especially drawn to Bell, who should be the hero, but who just sorta toes around the edge of the story and reflects upon his aging, morality, and his belief in the moral decay of society. Kinda feels like a statement on the institutions that govern us. God bless the Coen Brothers once again
