  This is way more sophisticated a movie than watching it as a kid lol. The atmosphere of each set is palpable especially in the alien ship/area. It helps that the design of everything is detailed to the extent we can be struck with confusion and wonder just like the characters.   Probably going to be my favorite Lynch film it delivers on all fronts I’d want him to. Dreamy atmosphere, genuinely gripping narrative, (of which I did not expect) and bold stylistic choices. From the color choices in the sets to nior-ish lighting it somehow came together seamlessly. Dennis Hopper did a standout job I felt, the two characters Dorothy and Frank were both handled with care whilst still allowing drama to come out of their performances. I also really like…
