  I'm not gonna rate because my first viewing of this was honestly kinda traumatic, and I fear it would cloud my judgement lmao. We had a really fucked up ethics teacher in like the 6th grade and she showed us this film one day as like an "anti-bullying" psa. Wayyy too explicit for 12 year olds. One girl had a panic attack.   The bitterest rewatch. This movie is perfect, but it is so dreadful to watch. It is simply heavy, today, unfortunately, heavier than ever, weighed further down by the news of David Lynch's passing. I did not know the man, yet I find myself crying, for while I may not have known him as the undoubtedly wonderful man, father and husband he was, I did know him as a great artist. The kind that only rarely comes around. Rest in peace.
