Thought this was a lot… until watching The Strange Thing About the Johnsons immediately after…
Demi Moore and Margaret Qualley, no notes. Award worthy performances from both of them in my opinion.
The grotesque body-horror, the cinematography, the practical effects, the score and sound design… everything was executed flawlessly. I’m speechless.
If this genre interests you I’d say it’s a must see, especially while in theaters. If it stays in theaters long enough I may even go see it again. Will definitely be a film that sticks with me long-term for many reasons.
Even on rewatch still had me on the edge of my seat. Still so impressed with how well made this is on such a small budget.
Easily stays in my top 4
