    Thelma

June Squibb absolutely kills it as Thelma a sweet grandmother scammed out of money who takes matters into her own hands to get her money back.
This is a feel good, emotional and funny coming of old age tale, that'll make you miss or hug your grandparents just that little bit more.
    Highly Recommended.

    Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga

George Miller's Furiosa prequel to the excellent Mad Max: Road Fury is a slight step back in quality but still a highly entertaining hyper energetic visual offering.
The action is bonkers and appealing, everyone on board gives it 110% in camping/hamming it up.
Anya Taylor-Joy fitting into Charlize Theron badass shoes nicely.

If I have some slight criticisms is the story is a convoluted mess and the film has a over abundance of green screen use but when the film has this much energy it's easy to over look.
If you're a fan of the series this is another great entry, highly recommend.

Smile 2 is bigger but not better sequel to the 2022 film.
It's glam and glossy but the story just feels completely underdeveloped compared to the first.
The cinematography, sound design/ mixing is fantastic, really setting up a creepy atmosphere.
Naomi Scott is terrific and the metaphors of the rise and fall of fame is cool but I personally believe the whole 2nd half of this film just sort of crashed and burns, it's too many twists upon twists and…

    MadS

MadS is a impressive and brutal one-shot style horror film from France.

Romain a drug user is on his way home from his dealers to have a night of partying when a woman begging for help enters his car, what follows is a increasingly intense and a unique approach to a familiar horror subgenre.
It's nothing original but the way it's done does give it a fresh new feel plus the one continuous shot throughout the whole runtime allows for some stunning cinematography and high octane moments.
Try to go into this one as blind as possible.
    Highly Recommended.
