such a difficult one to actually rank because the first half fills me with just so much dread and rage leading up to the party, but i enjoyed it as a whole.
mildly conflicted about the portrayal of bodymodding, it skews way more positive than a lot of other representations, but it's still very much for the sake of shock value. at least they don't characterize it as mutilation, and even though mary dies for it, it's not implying that…
