  Re-watched it for the (???) time and was reminded why it is easily one of my favorite movies. The cinematography alone makes it watchable with the sound off - add in incredible sound design, a great score and dynamic characters and you have a fantastic film. 1917's greatest quality is that it 'tells' you nothing and 'shows' you everything. Love this movie.
