Why does Rankin and Bass always make the villain songs slap in the LOTR/Hobbit animated editions? Honestly all of the songs are great and I still play them to this day. Grew up watching this, the goblins and gollum terrified me. Watching now, it's still somehow better than the live action despite it being a fraction of the time. Was obsessed with elrond growing up, am convinced it was because of how his crown glowed. You can't call yourself a true Tolkien fan without having watched this masterpiece, give it a go
