Where the Crawdads Sing 2022
For being based on a book told almost completely by inner monologue, they did a pretty decent job on the movie. I felt like the script could’ve been adapted a little better as a lot of the movie felt awkward. I’m not sure. Maybe it was the way they restructured the plot (understandably so, though). Overall, I wasn’t too impressed, but I also wasn’t disappointed by any means—just content. Probably not something I’d rewatch.
Truthfully, I think I would’ve enjoyed it more if I hadn’t read the book so recently.
