The Fugitive is by no means an extraordinary film, but it is nonetheless one of my all-time favourites.
In terms of pure, distilled Hollywood thriller, there is no equal. The film is edited down to nothing but lean muscle, there is almost no filler or excess to the plot. Each scene, character and moment is set up and executed with precision filmmaking.
Most importantly, the action of the film, notably the train crash, dam escape and St. Patrick’s Day parade…

Absolute all-timer. Impeccable dad film. Wonderfully funny, charmingly wholesome with classic performances and so many iconic moments and lines.
Really intriguing to me just how obsessed with the ‘50s the ‘80s are, I wonder if our generation will look back upon the 2010s/20s with the same nostalgia when it reaches 2040?
