  A solid documentary on obsession, anonymity, and the perils of stardom that (unfortunately) just so happens to involve one of my favorite bands. It’s pretty by-the-numbers movie wise, but it’s gripping nonetheless.

  I went into Insidious blind, only knowing that it's one of those movies you either really like or really hate afterward.

  I liked it.

  While the posters and DVD covers give you the impression of a demonic child, the story is a bit more than that, involving possession, haunted house bits, and a smidge of metaphysical nonsense that I don't recall having seen in a movie recently. What you think will be a run-of-the-mill "evil child story" takes some interesting…

  I went into this movie expecting an awesome action movie, and I was extremely satisfied when it ended.

  The choreography, the camera work, everything just clicked. The only complaint I had was that some of the "in-between" scenes seemed too long, and made me want to skip ahead to more ass kicking.

  Also, the movie gets bonus points for brutality. Some of the more entertaining and "OHHHHHHHHHH SNAP" deaths I've seen in recent memory.
