  it’s hard to grasp how a movie so wonderful and that utilized the magnificence of practical effects and human effort/talent also decided to also use ai. i’m sure people argue that “boohoo it’s just a few frames throughout the movie” but the thing is that 1) those few frames could have so easily been made by a real artist, and there is no lack of abundance for artists out there who would have loved the opportunity to have their work…

  i checked all the way out of this by the time it got about halfway through, and that doesn’t happen super frequently for me. im pretty sure i feel a migraine coming on so i have to go deal with that

  i hate this movie so genuinely much. it has obi wan kenobi slander so it’s irredeemable in my eyes. the ONE good scene was finn killing captain phasma. and idgaf i love rose and i love the canto bight scenes. the rest of this movie is total annoyingly stupid garbage. it decimates multiple characters characterization. it’s annoying as shit. you are required to give a fuck about kylo ren and rey and their connection. i genuinely never have such strong feelings towards movies i dislike, but i hate this movie with a passion. this movie is my phantom menace.

  i think i was the most excited for this one and it ended up being… just okay for me? i did like it and i thought the concept was fascinating (however i literally kept asking myself the entire time: why not send the replicas up into space and keep the real people on earth? maybe they said something about that and i missed it but… i kept thinking that the entire time 😭). the ending was chilling, men are horrifying and terrifying.
