The Patriot 2000
I watched this movie recently and is honestly just what I expected from a Mel Gibson movie. This movie is a masterpiece and the subversion of expectations and suspense which is cleverly done in this movie redeems it from the lack of historical accuracy. Although certain parts of the movie are somewhat weak it serves to make one really care about the characters and really make one hate the antagonist and sympathize with the cause of independence. This is perhaps in the top 3 of Mel Gibson movies.

This is definitely one of the top 20 movies I have ever seen. Many people dislike the movie because of the way it was shot and some scenes made it hard to follow which I will admit is partially true but I think that they did the best possible and if there are any movies similar to this one in how they were filmed it is likely that they fall short of this movies perfection.
