I love a good journalism film (and a good Wes Anderson film). From a visual perspective it is beautiful and has a wonderful kinetic feel that makes it so fun to watch. Although it is a Wes Anderson film after all, so that is hardly a surprise.

Really enjoyed the majority of this film. Great acting, score, cinematography. I found the story and pacing to be pretty spot on. Fiennes was a particular standout. Melodramatic and at times quite silly, but in an endearing way.
Then the ending. That’s actually just silly.
I’ll start by saying that I’m generally not a huge horror fan but I did really enjoy this. Which might not be good news for proper horror fans!
Also, I was lucky enough to get to see this on 35mm in the Irish Film Institute and it perfectly suited the aesthetic of the film. Some of the imagery may not have been as effective if it was a cleaner, digital version.
