The Substance 2024
I liked it! I loved the vision. Too gorey for my taste but loved the storyline, acting, and cinematography. Watching this was a lot better when I didn’t have cultural discourse in my ear telling me how to feel about it 😭 I felt like the story was optimally paced and didn’t feel like I had watched a 3hr film

Past Lives 2023
My ex told me to watch this movie like 2 months after we broke up and I was too scared to. Instead, I settled for watching it 10 months later on a plane and ended up being very teary eyed in 36C! I knew this movie was going to shatter my heart from the first scene. As someone who hangs on to “what if” and struggles to let go this movie meant a lot to me and I’m going to think about it for awhile!!! Less profound thought is that I immediately disliked the white husband and was rooting against him the entire time
