Nice looking movie, full of beautiful shots. Liked the lack of villains, the full embrace of comfy settings, characters and sentiments. The tragedy is just the tragedy of youth: the things we thing will last forever are just a drop in the ocean, life continue and we find new and also beautiful things. On the other hand: I dont like musicals.

The Gunfighter 1950
Great film. A well paced story about the dangers of being a famous gunfighter in the mythical age of heroes in the Old West. The impossibility of run away from your own past and the hopes and dreams of even the toughest man in town. Loved the brief mention of the dark past of the sheriff. The cliche of the impending hour of doom works really well in this film.
