  One of those films that I didn't realise what I was signing up for. I was expecting a thrill-a-minute adventure filled with peril & the ocasional emotional death scene. To be fair it's some of that but with a lot more emotional heft owing to the fact it's based on a true story of a climb that went totally tits up.
  My bad.

  A film seemingly writen by a pre-teenage boy who has just discovered swearing. Filled with characters with daft names and a 'twist' that arrives with no logical reason whatsoever. Could've been a fairly good Arnie film had it followed the near 30 year template but the purile language and generic substance make this a disappointment. Gutted

  Despite somewhat mixed critical reviews and an audience reception that seemingly still has a problem with a rebooted Spider-man franchise coming so soon after the Sam Raimi versions, I thoroughly enjoyed this latest adventure on Marvel/Sony’s most popular character.
  The intricate plot sees Peter and Gwen continuing with their relationship with Peter especially struggling to keep the promises made at the end of the 1st film against a new backdrop of enemies for Spidey to tie up. Jamie Fox turns…
