Fun, thought provoking, bizarre and silly, Bong Joon Ho, has provided us with yet another interesting science fiction film, about hapless losers trying to find their place. The set pieces are spectacular, and the cinematography shines. The film is carried by Robert Pattinson who continues to evolve as an actor going more outlandish and bolder with each choice. Supported by strong and energetic performances from Naomi Ackles, Steven Yeun, Toni Collette, and Mark Ruffalo(continuing his villainous streak in film), Bong Joon Ho continues to shine a light as the flaws of humanity and its glaring hypocrisies in quirky, and funny new ways.

Bold, visually magnificent, and cinematically engrossing, Brady Corbet’s masterpiece shows us the immigrant experience as it clashes against what it means to be an artist in the mercy of its corporate masters. Adrien Brody gives one of the great American film performances, as holocaust survivor and Hungarian architect Lazlo Toth. Bold, brazen, and darkly funny. A standout in 2024, features superb performances by Sebastian Stan, Renate Reinsve and Adam Pearson. A dark comedy about the fundamental brokenness that can exist in human beings, this part thriller, black comedy, in conjecture with sci fi, is an absolute mind fuck.
Stan shines in a career best performance that is outrageous as it is daring. Reinsve provides the steady hand as the straight woman, with absolute fantastic comedic timing, and Pearson roars with…

Bloody, evocative, and somber. This queer fantasia is a highlight of the year, and features a remarkable Kristen Stewart performance. Set in the back drop of 90s America, what unfolds before the viewer is a tragic romance doomed by circumstance, violence, and the obsession to achieve the American dream. Part noir, part black comedy, it is a violent tale of queer love and romance not readily seen in mainstream pictures. Under 120 minutes, this is a worthwhile view, but its violence is not for the faint of heart.
