  A Little Party Never Killed Nobody…Yet…

  Having not read the book and only seen the glass raising meme, Baz Luhrmann’s adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic is a poetic piece of cinema. 

  Notably, the 2013 track choices reflecting the roaring 20’s is a clever device Luhrmann uses. Aside from the scale of Gatsby’s (Leonardo DiCaprio) incredible house parties, the music adds that contemporary vibe to a prime time of history.

  Another Nic Cage Weird Character Episode…

  As someone who’s 6’4”, I must assure people this title has nothing to do with me. 

  The opening scene of this film was frighteningly effective at hooking me in instantly.
