Will definitely leave you thinking about the d-evil. At times too subtle and yet too clear on what’s to come. The performances are the real chef’s kiss in this melting pot of classic horror burning hell into small town life during the “no one ever comes to visit us”, individualistic, yet idyllic Clinton-era .

Chavela 2017
Feliz cumpleaños a la chingona Chavela! This documentary captures the exuberant, yet somber essence of the queer icon. Even when we are not hearing her voice in song or word directly, it’s as if she’s telling her struggle to you. Chavela’s story is here to remind you to break barriers, to love more, and that it’s never too late to start a new.

Problemista 2023
It’s a subtle yet over-the-top creative commentary that tells a heartwarming story about following your dreams, even if—especially if— you feel alone in your principles.

Glitter & Doom 2023
Is it a sapphic, schmaltzy, singing mess? Hell yes it is and I loved every moment. The most unbelievable aspect of this indigo-girl-rose-colored-glittery world is that the main characters are gay men and not lesbians. The whispers of class consciousness, privilege, and queer liberation through art could have been songs or screams to round out the overly flippant nature of the main characters. Still, a visually stunning and beautiful reminder that love only wins if you let it.
