A small innocuous film about cinema theatres, cinema dwellers, and watching movies.
I can’t explain to myself why have I enjoyed it so much, feels incredible. Two or three lines of dialogue total, less than minimal camera movement, no characters, only the experience itself.
The empty theatre was so meaningful, the limping girl in the rain with that song (!!), and the ghosts! The ghosts of actors past were magnetic, and so warming!

I am very proud of myself for…

Un gioiello pieno di errori, soprattutto esempio magnifico di un certo modo di sentire e vedere le cose tutto mediterraneo.
    Che orgoglio

This was what was lacking for Batman: style!
Super cool shots, some were really astounding, intriguing although very simple storyline with same intelligent-basic villain.

The love story was horrible, however, as was the monologue at the end, horribly written and totally unnecessary. It could have been a much better take on the “Batman genre” if not for these obvious commercial non-sense (love story and wrap-up monologue).

Penguin’s my favourite! Light and scary at the same time, and the scenes with the bat, the way the two personalities play off (or don’t) of each other, were all on the verge of being hilarious!

This is a strange WW2 experience: it seems a French 2000s arthouse movie mixed with a virile dose of communist cinematography and messaging.

It is not the unbearably violent experience everyone says it to be: there are many much more violent movies about WW2. Still, this one is extremely elegant in the details: sound effects, props, make up, little lines of dialogue, colouring and montage, and overall a very accessible symbolism, make it so impactful. Maybe 4,6 as an average score is too much, though.

“Kill Hitler” would have been a banger title!
