Everything about Bona speaks to the culture of the community here in the Philippines. It may not have been the perfect embodiment for a perfect relationship, but Nora Aunor truly narrates the emotions needed in every scene.
I watched it for the first time and am grateful that I was able to see the 4k restoration of such an absolute film. Bona's obsession with Gardo truly speaks to what a lot of us are going through today
