The Wicker Man 1973
Great flick. I think this is a top 3 role for Christopher Lee. Even though Ari Aster denies that Midsommar was greatly inspired by this movie, it is evident that these movies parallel in many ways. I think what made this movie scarier than Midsommar was the fact that the village that the movie takes place in looks like the average Scotland town and it is clear that these people turned to paganism recently rather than always being such. Also the use of musical numbers was dope and is foreign in horror flicks.
Watch this movie. Do it.

Man, I cry everytime I watch this movie. I don’t care what anyone says, Gerard Butler is great in this role. The only problem is he isn’t creepy enough. He is still a sexy man.
