  Wow. The first time (and only other time) I’d watched this was on cable television over Christmas. The commercial breaks came every six, seven minutes. It took five hours. Absolutely brutal experience. Auteurs are always in the press talking about how their films should be seen on the biggest screen possible, but no one is talking about the travesty that is watching a movie on cable.
