Stav has the X factor, I'll give him that.
Didn't fall flat but was a little flatter than it ought to have been. Poorly shot at times with some badly staged shot-reverse shot, and there was a lot of potential squandered in terms of where the plot and characters could go. But alas. I hope Stav is in more stuff.Translated from by -

Actually a quite affecting muse on women living under male control/gaze even when there seem to be no men there. The ridiculous set pieces will stay in the mind, and rightly so, but this really wants to say something about how women are brutalized and sexualised at the random whim of men who treat them as toys. Not quite sure how successfully it did it but, hey, that opening scene sure was something. Also really felt like a solid demonstration of how anxiety rips you apart, especially in the police station scene.
