Took my friends to a free screening and fell in love with this movie all over again. Such a fun ride, sweet without ever being saccharine.

Achingly lonely. Coppola's storytelling is deceptively simple, but it's only because every aspect is so cleverly woven together. Was struck by the way Priscilla's whole world is dictated by Elvis, yet as his image evolves into something larger-than-life she finally begins to appear real again. There's a moment towards the end of the film where you realise you're seeing Priscilla genuinely smile for the first time, and the movie only becomes all the more heartbreaking from there - a quietly brilliant performance from Cailee Spaeny.
