Watched this when I was 14, clearly missed the depression metaphor or whatever & thought it was dumb shitty horror movie. Not sure if that's true but I trust my gut feeling that it's not worth a rewatch to find out

Coming to America 1988
Nothing amazing or one-of-a-kind about this one, but it's a classic comfort movie for me and huge part of why I enjoy movies shot on film. The pacing and humor is so slow and chambré at times that you can forget it's a dumb movie about African kings and experience it as a slice of life from Queens NY in the 80s
The sequel was a fucking embarrassment and pissed me off to no end
