Good Will Hunting 1997
I actually don't think I've liked a movie on the first watch as much as I liked Good Will Hunting. I had decently high expectations for this movie, and it totally exceeded them. Bonus points for being set in Boston obviously - but I was just so intrigued the whole movie and it kept my attention. Really really loved it

Great Messages!!!!! kidding this actually was the most fever dream movie I've ever watched. I don't know if it was supposed to be made fun of but I couldn't get over how much the main 4 characters were so senorita awesome. so 2018 core it hurts. felt like if a millenial took the most gen z traits amplified them by 1000 and then wrote characters based off of them. cringe after cringe after cringe. don't know if i was supposed to be laughing as much as i did but it was just so ridiculous. Literally seniorita awesomeness.

Dìdi (弟弟) 2024
Don't remember exactly when I watched this movie, but I remember watching it back home over the summer with my friends....this movie totally changed my perspective on growing up and what it means to be caring and empathetic. I think about this movie a lot even 6 months later. Coming of age movies are in my top 3 genre and this film totally solidified it. Definitely will watch this again - cannot recommend enough.

Incredible cinematography (expected nothing less from an A24 film hehe) but overall really heartwrenching story that was such a realistic depiction of love and its struggles that I'm not sure if this could be categorized as a romance movie? Really loved the inclusion of the concept of In-yun, since I've talked about it in my art class and was really nice to see a more modern take on the concept.
