2nd watch, and a good chance to try writing something here for once. The Happening shows harrowing stuff, mainly the looming threat of the wind, and the constant barrage of self-mutilation and gore. The Texas Republican Family Dinner 2. Obnoxious and loud. Hooper directs this like Tim Burton on bath salts. Worth seeing for the triple-chainsaw-wielding cowboy Dennis Hopper alone. 5th Tobe Hooper in a row btw.
