Almost halfway through the movie, I couldn't bear the suspense - I went ahead and googled, word by word 'did ted kill his wife in shutter island', thus spoiling the movie for myself, but I have to say this didn't change much. I was still taken aback by the reveal. A predictable but an extremely well-done plot twist.
I don't think I have seen enough movies to confidently make this claim, but there are a significantly small number of films…
