Pretty mid but not bad. Would watch again

Incredible. Truly the average life of a woman with a hint of dorian grey, splash of quasimodo and a sprinkle of carpenter's the thing. Love the descent into madness. No notes.

So I kept waiting for this to get scarier and bloodier, and then (rather belatedly) realised this movie is probably aimed at a younger audience. I think as an entry horror movie for teenagers, this movie was pretty good. The story made sense and was interesting, the characters were well acted, if a little cut and paste (the cop character could've felt more original.) I also just love watching Matthew Lillard. It felt relatively faithful to the game. Overall, I think a pretty successful video game adaptation aimed at a younger horror audience.

Finaaaally got around to watching it and I see why it's so popular. What a solid action film. Well paced, fun and slightly unbelievable action, good and intriguing characters all around - Even if it doesn't pass the Bechdel test (I think) they had (1) solid female character I thought.
