The best part of the movie is the catchy albeit overplayed song, but it does hold a narrative purpose so you can't really knock it too hard for being overplayed. Although the pacing felt way off in my opinion, maybe that's due to the fact that stardom in the music world is fast paced and doesn't make sense, or maybe the pacing just sucks, who knows.
